Science Teacher
Tauranga Girls' College is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to empowering our learners to have a positive impact on the world. We are a place of discovery, and we are looking for a creative, adaptable, and enthusiastic Science teacher to join our dynamic team.
We require an innovative and passionate teacher of Science with the ability to teach junior and senior classes.
You will have a growth mindset and be committed to delivering flexible, learner-centred, future-focused learning. The ideal candidate will be adept at catering for diversity and will support the school’s strategic goals, as well as the wider changes in the New Zealand Curriculum and the new education qualification system.
The ability to work in a way that is reflective, supportive, and collaborative with a strong commitment to enabling the success of all students including a focus on Māori and Pasifika achievement.
We are a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning), and a Restorative school. We value extra-curricular opportunities and look forward to your contribution in this area.
This position is fixed term and full-time, from the start of Term 1, 2026 to the end of Term 2, 2026. The reason for the position being fixed term is to cover a staff member on parental leave. This role is suitable for both experienced and beginning teachers. Please state your senior Science teaching strengths in your application.
The successful applicant will hold a current practicing certificate issued by the New Zealand Teaching Council.
