Social Science Teacher

We require an innovative and passionate teacher of Social Science with the ability to teach junior and senior classes. 

You will have a growth mindset and be committed to delivering flexible, learner-centred, future-focused learning. The ideal candidate will be adept at catering for diversity and will support the school’s strategic goals, as well as the wider changes in the New Zealand Curriculum and the new education qualification system.

The ability to work in a way that is reflective, supportive, and collaborative with a strong commitment to enabling the success of all students including a focus on Māori and Pasifika achievement.

We are a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning), and a Restorative school. We value extra-curricular opportunities and look forward to your contribution in this area.

This position is fixed-term, part-time, commencing on availability in Term One and ending 11 December 2027. This role is suitable for both experienced and beginning teachers. Please state your senior Social Science teaching strengths in your application. The reason for this being fixed term is to cover staff for release time.

The successful applicant will hold a current practicing certificate issued by the New Zealand Teaching Council.
