Teacher - Commerce, Social Science, Art
Tauranga Girls’ College is a vibrant and inclusive school committed to empowering learners to have a positive impact. We are a place of discovery and are seeking an innovative and passionate teacher to teach any of the following programmes - senior commerce, junior business studies, tourism, junior social studies and/or junior art. This person will be creative, adaptable, have a growth mindset and will cater for diversity. They will be committed to developing flexible, learner centred, future focused learning and will support the school’s strategic intentions and the wider changes in the New Zealand Curriculum.
The ability to work in a way that is reflective, supportive and collaborative with strong commitment to enabling the success of all students is important, including focus on Māori and Pasifika achievement.
We are a PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning), and a Restorative school. We value extra-curricular opportunities and look forward to your contribution in this area.
This fixed term position can be designed depending on the teaching programme that best suits your skillset. The position commences 28 January 2026 and ends 27 January 2027.
The successful applicant will hold a current practicing certificate, issued by the New Zealand Teaching Council.
